Becoming a customer

The lending services in a nutshell:

To obtain a library card you have to show us a photo-enhanced identity card. You will also get a user code (PIN-code) for your card that enables you to borrow  material through the automatic lending machine, to renew your own loans and to reserve material on the HelMet-pages.

You also  need a PIN-code to log in a library computer and Internet. You can reserve a computer via  the E-booking system by clicking on http://www.varaakone.net/ or by asking the librarians to help you.

The whole library is a WLAN-area. You can log in the network on your own laptop and with your library card.

If you have 5 € or more in unpaid delay charges on your library card, you will not be able to borrow more material, to renew loans or to reserve material. When you have paid your delay charges, your right to borrow material will be restored.
